on the remarriage of women whose marriage has ceased or has been declared invalid.
The Constitutional National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on this law:
(1) If the marriage has been declared invalid, parted or cancelled by the death of the spouse, and if the expert's opinion indicates that the wife is not likely to be pregnant, the District National Committee may authorise a woman to enter a new marriage before the expiry of the period of 180 days laid down in Section 120 of the Act.
(2) If a woman is pregnant, the conclusion of a new marriage may be permitted before she gives birth, only if, according to the circumstances or expert opinion, it is impossible for the child she gives birth to be presumed to be born.
This Act takes effect on the day of its publication and applies in the Czech and Moravian-Silesian countries; It shall be carried out by the Minister for the Interior in agreement with the Minister for Justice.
