GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 29 January 1998
fixing the rate of duty and the tariff quota for imports of apples originating in the European Union
The Government mandates pursuant to § 56 paragraph 2 of the Czech National Council Act No. 13 / 1993 Coll., Customs Act:
Goods falling within subheadings 0808 10 20, 0808 10 50 and 0808 10 90 of the Customs Tariff - Other apples - are to be classified under the tariff quota of 24 000 tonnes, provided that the goods originate in the European Union.
Goods originating in the European Union shall mean goods which meet the conditions laid down in a special regulation (m3) or international contract (2).
The tariff quota provided for in Article 1 shall apply as follows:
(a) from the entry into force of this Regulation until 31 March 1998 - 6000 tonnes,
(b) from 1 April 1998 to 30 June 1998 - 6000 tonnes,
(c) from 1 July 1998 to 30 September 1998 - 6000 tonnes,
(d) from 1 October 1998 to 31 December 1998 - 6000 tonnes.
For goods defined in Section 1 and imported in excess of the quantity specified in Section 3 for each calendar year period, the duty rate shall be 95%.
(1) This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
(2) This Regulation shall expire on 31 December 1998.
