on the abolition of settlement offices.
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following Act:
(1) The settlement offices in Prague and Bratislava and their bodies (regional settlement offices and advisory departments), as well as the Central Commission for Internal Resettlement, are hereby repealed. Their scope, unless it ceases to exist under Section 4, shall be transferred to the relevant National Recovery Fund, unless otherwise provided for by the Government Regulation.
(2) In an agreement with the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Finance may delegate to the National Committees certain tasks of the National Recovery Funds, in particular relating to the management and distribution of confiscated property. Exceptionally, it may delegate these tasks, if they cannot be adequately provided for by the national committees, to other bodies, in particular central offices.
(1) National recovery funds shall exercise their competence in the field of the Ministry of Finance to which they are subject.
(2) National recovery funds shall be issued by directives for the implementation of the tasks delegated to them by national committees or other bodies and shall oversee the implementation of those tasks. If the tasks of the National Recovery Funds are delegated to the Central Authorities, they shall be carried out in accordance with these Directives.
(3) The Permanent Advisory Councils of the National Recovery Funds are hereby repealed.
Details, in particular as regards changes in the organisation of the National Recovery Funds under this Act and as regards the staff of the settlement offices, shall be adapted by the Government by a regulation.
The validity of Decree No. 27 / 1945 of the President of the Republic, Coll., on the uniform management of the internal settlement and the Statute of the Residency Offices, published by Decree No. 72 / 1945 Coll. and No. 241 / 1946 Coll.
This Act shall take effect on 15 March 1950; It shall be implemented by the Home and Finance Ministers in agreement with participating members of the Government.
