Decree of the Minister of Finance
of 9 February 1948
on the withdrawal of certain small coins of the Czechoslovak currency.
According to Section 3 of the Order of the President of the Republic of 19 October 1945, No 91 Coll., on the renewal of the Czechoslovak currency, I shall determine:
Small coins of Czechoslovak currency from zinc issued up to 1945, as well as coins of the same value of nickel (bronze) and aluminium issued up to 1945 in Slovakia, will cease to be legal tender on 29 February 1948.
From 1 March 1948 until 31 March 1948, all the offices of the Czechoslovak National Bank and all the post offices will exchange the coins listed in § 1 at their cash registers. After 31 March 1948, any exchange of these coins is excluded.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
