of 13 September 1946
on the granting of citizenship to countrymen from Hungary.
The Constitutional National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following constitutional law:
§ 1.
(1) Persons of the nationality of Slovak or Czech, residing in the territory of the Republic of Hungary who are citizens of a foreign state or homeless and who move (moved) to the territory of the Czechoslovak Republic under the agreement between Czechoslovakia and Hungary on the exchange of population of 27 February 1946, No 145 Coll., shall acquire the date of the transfer of Czechoslovak citizenship.
(2) Undivorced wives acquire citizenship, together with their spouse and children up to 18 years of age, together with their father, after having been married or widowed, if they were incorporated and moved into the territory of the Czechoslovak Republic and moved into that territory. Otherwise, the declaration of the intended transfer shall be made by their guardian, their guardian, for persons under the custody of persons under the authority of their guardian up to the age of 18.
§ 2.
(1) It is for the Regional National Committee (Regional Administrative Commission) to say that a countryman from Hungary has acquired Czechoslovak citizenship, in whose district the movement took place.
(2) General rules apply to the performance of the oath of allegiance to the Czechoslovak Republic.
(3) If a person has acquired citizenship under this Act of Czechoslovak citizenship without having acquired home rights in a municipality of the Czechoslovak Republic, he will acquire home rights in a municipality in which he will settle as a permanent residence after arriving in the Czechoslovak Republic.
§ 3.
Documents and official copies for the implementation of this Act shall be exempt from fees and charges for official acts in administrative matters.
§ 4.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication; It shall be implemented by the Home Secretary in agreement with the Ministers involved.
