GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 28 April 1993
on a one-off exceptional compensation for damage to health or death in connection with assistance granted to the Police of the Czech Republic or to the municipal police
The Government orders pursuant to § 49 paragraph 2 of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 283 / 1991 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, and pursuant to § 24 paragraph 4 of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 553 / 1991 Coll., on the Municipal Police:
A citizen who has provided assistance to the Police of the Czech Republic or to a police officer, (1) to the municipal police or patrol2) at their request or with their knowledge in carrying out their duties and has suffered in this connection injury or illness which is considered to be an occupational disease under the labour law, (3) and has become a person with altered occupational capacity, partly disabled or disabled (hereinafter "the injured '), in addition to claims for compensation under the labour law, a one-off exceptional compensation.
Disposable extraordinary compensation according to § 1 is provided in the amount of CZK 10,000 to CZK 50,000 depending on the degree of damage to health and taking into account the degree of difficulty in social application.
(1) If the injured person died as a result of the damage to health under the conditions set out in Section 1, his spouse and the children entitled to an orphan's pension shall be increased to twice the amount of compensation due to them under labour law. In justified cases, one-off compensation may also be increased to the parents of the deceased.
(2) Persons who have been fed to the victim who died from an accident or illness under the conditions laid down in § 1 may be granted a lump sum of up to CZK 10,000 in justified cases.
Decree of the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic No. 3 / 1976 Coll., on a one-off exceptional compensation for damage to health or death in connection with assistance provided to the National Security Corps, is hereby repealed.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
