DECLARATION
of 2 May 2008
on the expiry of banknotes after 20 CZK of model 1994 and model 1996
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (d) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
§ 1
(1) On 31 August 2008, banknotes after 20 CZK of model 19941) and banknotes after 20 CZK of model 19961 are expired.
(2) The banknotes referred to in paragraph 1 shall be exchanged between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2009 by all banks (2) carrying out cash operations and the Czech National Bank3), from 1 September 2009 to 31 August 2014 only by the Czech National Bank.
(3) The exchange may be made at the banks' and České národní banka cash register or by deposit in an account held with the relevant bank, or České národní banka, under the conditions laid down in this decree and other legislation4).
§ 2
This Decree shall take effect on 1 June 2008.
