THE LAW
of 9 May 1990
repealing Act No. 68 / 1956 Coll., on the Organisation of Physical Education and adjusting certain other relationships concerning voluntary body organisations
The Federal Assembly of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic decided on this law:
They shall be deleted:
1. Act No. 68 / 1956 Coll., on the Organisation of Physical Education,
2. provision § 2 (2), § 4, 5, § 6 (3), in § 7 part of the sentence behind the semicolon, § 8 (2) of Government Decree No. 82 / 1958 Coll., on honorary recognition in physical education.
The property rights of voluntary organisations which were withdrawn from them by Act No. 187 / 1949 Coll., No. 71 / 1952 Coll. and No. 68 / 1956 Coll. shall be returned to the state on 31 March 1948 by the Czechoslovak Municipality of Sokol and others re-established by the voluntary organisations which apply their rights to the legal successor of the organisation referred to in § 2 of Act No. 68 / 1956 Coll. until 31 December 1991.
The legal successor of the organization referred to in § 2 of Act No. 68 / 1956 Coll. is obliged with property rights until their issue to the Czechoslovak municipality of Sokol and to the other newly created voluntary organisations to take care of the proper economy; from the date of application of this law, it cannot transfer these property rights to the ownership of another or to the use of another. Such legal acts shall be void.
The conditions and method for the recovery of property rights pursuant to § 2 and the award of honorary titles and public recognition pursuant to Government Decree No. 82 / 1958 Coll. are governed by legislation issued by the authorities of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.
This Law shall enter into force on 1 June 1990.
