Decree of the Minister for Foreign Affairs
of 8 June 1948
on pre-war bilateral agreements concluded with Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary or Romania which, under the peace agreements of 10 February 1947, have been maintained or renewed.
I declare that the Government of the Czechoslovak Republic has announced:
A. the Bulgarian Government, through the Czechoslovak Embassy in Sofia on 5 March 1948, wishes that the following pre-war bilateral agreements, negotiated with Bulgaria on 10 February 1947, No 207 Coll. of 1947, be maintained or renewed, under the provisions of Article 8 of the Treaty of Peace with Bulgaria on 10 February 1947:
1. The Convention on Mutual Legal Protection and Legal Assistance in Civil and Commercial Matters of 15 May 1926, No. 58 Coll. of 1927;
2. Convention on the Issue of Crimes and Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters of 15 May 1926, No. 59 Coll. of 1927;
3. Convention of 6 June 1925 on the treatment of diseased persons free of charge, No. 81 Coll. of 1926;
B. to the Government of Italy through the Czechoslovak Embassy in Rome on 25 February 1948, wishing that the following pre-war bilateral agreements, negotiated with Italy on 10 February 1947, No 5 Coll. of 1948, were maintained or renewed:
1. The Consular Convention of 1 March 1924, No. 35 Coll. of 1925;
2. Convention on the Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters of 6 April 1922, No. 127 Coll. of 1926;
3. Convention on the Legal Protection of Nationals of 6 April 1922, No. 126 Coll. of 1926;
4. Convention of 6 April 1922 on the extradition of criminals, No. 128 Coll. of 1926;
5. The Convention on the reciprocal issuance of documents, documents and files relating to members of the former Austrian-Hungarian army who became citizens of one or other State as a result of the provisions of the peace treaties of St. Germain and Trianon or in any other way after the creation of the European war (1914- 1918), of 23 May 1931, No 13 Coll. of 1932;
C. to the Hungarian Government, through the Czechoslovak Embassy in Budapest on 27 February 1948, that it wished that the following pre-war bilateral agreements, negotiated with Hungary on 10 February 1947, No 192 Coll. of 1947, were maintained or renewed:
1. Convention of 26 May 1928 on the treatment of debts and debts in the old crowns of Austria and Hungary, No. 55 Coll. of 1930;
2. Rules of Procedure of Arbitration Committees established pursuant to Article 13 (5) of the Convention of 26 May 1928 on the treatment of debts and claims in the old crowns of Austria and Hungary, published by Decree of the Ministers of Justice, Finance and Foreign Affairs of 27 July 1931, No. 134 Coll.
3. The Convention on the adaptation of technical economic issues to the Czechoslovak-Hungarian border section of the Danube and to the Tisy border section of the Ústí Samoš of 24 August 1937, No. 124 Coll. of 1938;
D. to the Romanian Government, through the Czechoslovak Embassy in Bucharest on 1 March 1948, that it wished that the following pre-war bilateral agreements, negotiated with Romania on 10 February 1947, No 209 Coll. of 1947, were maintained or renewed, under Article 10 of the Treaty of Peace with Romania:
1. Convention on the Mutual Protection and Legal Assistance in Civil, Commercial and Undisputed Matters of 7 May 1925, No. 171 Coll. of 1926;
2. Convention on Tax Recovery Assistance of 20 June 1934, No. 98 Coll. of 1936;
3. Convention on Administrative Assistance and Legal Protection in Tax Matters of 20 June 1934, No 99 Coll. of 1936;
4. Convention concerning double taxation in the field of survivor's benefits, of 20 June 1934, No. 100 Coll. of 1936;
5. Convention on the Issue of Crimes and Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters of 7 May 1925, No. 172 Coll. of 1926.
Thus, these contracts have been maintained or renewed under the above provisions of peace agreements.
