Act No. 168 / 2018 Coll.

In Article II (3) of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., amending Act No. 111 / 1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and amending and supplementing other laws (the Act on Higher Education), as amended, and certain other laws, as amended by Act No. 303 / 2017 Coll., the words "3 years after the date of entry into force of the Act 'are replaced by the words" until 31 December 2024'.

1. For the study of study programmes which were accredited before the date of entry into force of this Act pursuant to Article II (4) of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., as effective from the date of entry into force of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., for a period of 3 years from the date of entry into force of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., applicants may be accepted only until 31 December 2019.

2. For the study of study programmes which were accredited before the date of entry into force of this Act pursuant to Article II (4) of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., as effective from the date of entry into force of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., for a period of more than 3 years from the date of entry into force of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., as defined by the relevant decision on the granting, extension or extension of accreditation issued under the Act on Higher Education before the date of entry into force of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll. (hereinafter referred to as "the period '), tenderers may be accepted only before the expiry of the period specified by that Decision.

3. The measures taken so far in relation to the study programmes referred to in points 1 and 2 before the date of entry into force of this Act pursuant to Article 85 (2) (a) and (b) of Act 111 / 1998 Coll., as effective before the date of entry into force of Act 137 / 2016 Coll., or on the basis of the appropriate application of the provisions of Sections 83c and 86 (2) and Article 9 of Act 111 / 1998 Coll., as effective from the date of entry into force of Act 137 / 2016 Coll., are not affected by the provisions of Sections 1 and 2; where that existing corrective measure consists in the prohibition to recruit candidates to study the study programme, such a restriction of accreditation shall apply, while applying points 1 or 2. The provisions of points 1 and 2 are without prejudice to the competence of the National Accreditation Office for Higher Education to cancel the measures referred to in the first sentence or to provide for new measures, subject to the appropriate application of the provisions of Sections 83c and 86 (2) and Article 9 of Act No. 111 / 1998 Coll., as effective from the date of entry into force of Act No. 137 / 2016 Coll., however, the prohibition on accepting candidates for study under point 1 or 2 shall always apply regardless of the content of any corrective measure, regardless of any repeal of the corrective measure.

This Act shall take effect on the 15th day following its publication.
