THE FOLLOWING TREATY WAS AGREED:
Contract
on friendship, mutual assistance and peaceful cooperation
between
CZECH REPUBLIC
and
FEDERATIVE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF JUGOSLAVIA
President of the Czechoslovak Republic and
The Presidium of the National Assembly of the Federal People's Republic of Jugoslavia,
Wishing to solemnly confirm the ties of sincere friendship, which since time immemorial unites the brothers Slavic peoples of Czechoslovakia and Jugoslavia and which in this victorious war was again proven in a joint fight against the same enemy and the same danger,
Bearing in mind both countries' vital interest in common defence in the event of Germany renewing its offensive policy against their freedom, political independence and territorial integrity,
Believing that the common defence against such a danger is in the interest of maintaining international peace and security, which is also the objective of the Charter of the United Nations Organisation adopted by both countries,
being determined to further strengthen and deepen the spiritual and economic relations that had previously been established through joint efforts between the two countries,
they have decided to negotiate a contract for that purpose and have appointed their agents:

PRESIDIUM OF THE NATIONAL SHROMING OF THE FEDERATIVE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF JUGOSLAVIA
Mr Josef Broz-Titus, Marshal Jugoslavia, Prime Minister of the Federal People's Republic of Jugoslavia,
who, having exchanged their powers of attorney and found them in good and proper form, agreed on the following provisions:
Článek I.
The High Contracting Parties agree, in the interests of both countries and their peoples, to join in a policy of good and lasting friendship that will strengthen close synergies between the two countries.
Článek II.
The High Contracting Parties undertake to take all measures in their power together to prevent any new threat and to prevent a repetition of the attack by Germany or by any other State which would contact it directly or in any other way.
To this end, the High Contracting Parties shall participate in the most sincere synergy of all international actions to maintain international peace and security and shall fully contribute to making this objective an act.
In implementing this Treaty, the High Contracting Parties shall respect their obligations as members of the United Nations Organisation.
Článek III.
If one of the High Contracting Parties were involved in hostility with Germany, which would restore its offensive policy, or with any other State that would join with Germany in the act of aggression, the other High Contracting Party would immediately provide it with military and other assistance by any means at its disposal.
Článek IV.
The High Contracting Parties undertake not to negotiate an alliance and not to participate in a coalition against the other High Contracting Party.
Článek V.
The High Contracting Parties will consolidate together, in their respective competence, economic, spiritual and other contacts between the two countries in accordance with the conventions and agreements to this end agreed.
Článek VI.
This Treaty shall take effect immediately after signature and be ratified as soon as possible. The instruments of ratification will be exchanged in Prague as soon as possible.
This Treaty shall remain in force for a period of 20 years from the date of signature. However, if none of the High Contracting Parties has notified 12 months before the expiry of the twenty-year period that it wishes to terminate this Agreement, its effectiveness shall be extended by five additional years each time until one of the High Contracting Parties has notified its intention to terminate it in writing 12 months before the end of the running five-year period.
Which in the conscience of the agents signed this treaty and attached their seals to it.
Written in duplicate, each in the Czech and Serbian languages. The two texts shall be equally authentic.
In Belgrade, on the ninth of May, in the year one thousand ninety-nine, forty-six.

CONSIDERING THAT THE CONSTITUTION OF THE NATIONAL COMPETITION REPUBLIC OF CZECH CONNECTION, DECLARED THAT IT IS APPROVED, ACCEPTED, CONSOLIDATED AND INCREASED, AND THAT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PERFORMANCE OF THE LIST OF THOSE SUBSIDIATED BY OUR ARRANGEMENTS, RECEIVED BY ITS OWN ARRANGEMENTS, RECEIVED BY THE INCREDIVIDUAL, INCREDIVIDUAL AND IMPLEMENTARY, OF THE COMPETINCES, OF THE COMPETINCES
IN THE WORLD, WE MADE THIS LIST TO THE CHALLENGE, AND TO IT, THE REPUBLIC OF CZECH ENTERTAINMENT ADMITTED.

It is announced that the instruments of ratification were exchanged in Prague on 26 July 1946 under Article VI of the Treaty and that the contract under the same article of the Treaty became effective immediately after signature, i.e. on 9 May 1946.
