GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 23 March 2005
amending Decree No. 142 / 1994 Coll., determining the amount of interest on late payments and the late payment fee under the Civil Code
The Government orders pursuant to § 517 paragraph 2 of Act No. 40 / 1964 Coll., Civil Code, as amended by Act No. 509 / 1991 Coll.:
Čl. I
In Decree No. 142 / 1994 Coll., determining the amount of interest on late payments and the fee for late payments under the Civil Code, § 1 reads as follows:
„§ 1
The amount of interest on late payment corresponds annually to the rate of repo set by the Czech National Bank, plus seven percentage points. In each calendar semester in which the debtor's default persists, the amount of interest on late payments shall depend on the rate of the repo rate set by the Czech National Bank and applicable for the first day of the relevant calendar semester. "
Čl. II
Transitional provision
The amount of interest on late payment shall be governed by Government Decree No. 142 / 1994 Coll., as amended by this Regulation, if the delay in the payment of the cash debt has occurred since the date of entry into force of this Regulation. The amount of interest on late payments made before the date of entry into force of this Regulation shall be governed by existing legislation.

Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
