amending Act No. 72 / 1967 Coll., on the State Savings Bank
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
§ 1
The state savings bank, established by Act No. 72 / 1967 Coll., on the State savings bank, is divided into two separate state economic organisations called "Czech State savings bank" and "Slovak State savings bank"; the seat of the Czech State Sporitelna is Prague and the seat of the Slovak State Sporitelna is Bratislava.
§ 2
If it is mentioned in Act No. 72 / 1967 Coll. or in other generally binding legislation about the State Savings Bank, then this means both the Czech State Savings Bank and Slovak State Savings Bank.
§ 3
(1) Česká státní spořitelna and Slovenská státní spořitelna enter into the law and obligations of the existing state savings bank as follows:
a) Czech State Savings Bank enters into the laws and obligations of the services listed in § 2 of Act No. 72 / 1967 Coll. provided by the organizational components of the existing State Savings Bank in the territory of the Czech Socialist Republic;
b) Slovak State Savings Bank enters into the laws and obligations of the services listed in Section 2 of Act No. 72 / 1967 Coll. provided by the organizational components of the existing State Savings Bank in the territory of the Slovak Socialist Republic;
(2) The rights and obligations of the existing State Savings Bank, not mentioned in paragraph 1, are transferred to the Czech State Savings Bank if they were created in the Czech Socialist Republic and to the Slovak State Savings Bank if they were created in the Slovak Socialist Republic. The management of the assets carried out by the existing State Savings Bank is transferred to the Czech State Savings Bank, if it is for property in the Czech Socialist Republic, and to the Slovak State Savings Bank, if it is for property in the Slovak Socialist Republic.
(3) If, from an economic point of view, it is necessary to organise more effectively the relations between the Czech State Savings Bank and the Slovak State Savings Bank than is apparent from the provisions of paragraph 2, the savings banks shall, by mutual agreement, transfer their respective rights and obligations between themselves by 30 June 1969 at the latest. Such transfer shall not require the consent of the authorised or, where appropriate, the committed; However, their rights may not be reduced. The acquiring savings bank shall enter into the rights and obligations on the date specified in the Agreement. Similarly, property management can be transferred, which switched to the Czech State Savings Bank and Slovak State Savings Bank according to paragraph 2 of the second sentence.
§ 4
Paragraph 1, Section 4 (1) of the last sentence and Section 4 (3) of Law No 72 / 1967 Coll. is deleted and the provisions of Section 5 (1) of the same Act are deleted from the words "in Prague, the Regional Directorate for Slovakia, Bratislava."
§ 5
This Act shall take effect on 1 January 1969.
