DECLARATION
of 5 March 2004
on the issue of commemorative silver CZK 200 for the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union
The Czech National Bank provides for the Czech National Bank in accordance with § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
§ 1
(1) For the entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union, commemorative silver two hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns") are issued.
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Two hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of the 2-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and the force 2,3 mm. The edge of the two-hundred crowns in the normal version is smooth with a mould "CY, CZ, EE, HU, LT, LV, MT, PL, MT, MT, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL, PL. In the case of two-hundredth stamping in normal and special design, the tolerance allowed shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In the mass, the allowed tolerance is up to 0,26 g and in the silver content is up to 1%.
§ 2
(1) On the face of two hundred crowns is a free group of heraldic animals from a large state emblem of the Czech Republic on a raised square platform and under it the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "200 CZK." Around the shield and the text "200 CZK" is in the copy the name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC," supplemented by the initials of the author of the art design of the face side of the coin Josef Oplištil, combined with stylized letters "OJ," and the mark of the mint that drove the two hundred crown. There are 12 five-pointed stars in the coin ring symbolizing the European Union.
(2) On the back of the two-hundred koruna are placed on 15 raised square surfaces arranged in four rows, stylized symbols characterizing the existing Member States of the European Union, namely the left-over Dutch lion, three Swedish crowns, the German eagle, three Danish lions, in the second row the state seal of France, the Irish harp, the Italian national emblem, in the third row the Austrian eagle, the shield from the state emblem of Portugal, the shield from the state emblem of Luxembourg, the shield from the state emblem of Spain, the national emblem of Great Britain, the Belgian lion, the Greek bird phoenix and the Finnish lion. Secondly, between the French state seal and the Irish harp, there is an empty place symbolizing the openness of the European Union to other states. At the edge of the two-hundredth crown, the text "ACCESS OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC TO THE EUROPEAN UNION 1. 5. 2004" is contained in a closed copy, the individual words and date of which are separated by dots. At the end of the text, the dot is replaced by the copyright Jakub Vlček, author of the reverse side of the coin.

This Decree shall take effect on 28 April 2004.
