amending and supplementing Constitutional Act No. 143 / 1968 Coll., on the Czechoslovak Federation
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this constitutional law:
Constitutional Act No. 143 / 1968 Coll., on the Czechoslovak Federation, is amended as follows:
1. In Article 62 (3), the end of the second sentence shall be amended as follows:... "within 40 days at the latest, in which case the vote shall take place by public vote."
2. In Article 62 (3), the third sentence of the following text is added: "The term of office of the President thus elected shall expire within 40 days of the establishment of a new Federal Assembly elected in the free, democratic elections."
This constitutional law shall take effect on the day of its publication.
