DECLARATION
of 26 May 2025
on the issue of the commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 100th anniversary of the finding of the sculpture of a woman in Lower Vestonice, the so-called Vestonický venuše
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll. and Act No. 89 / 2018 Coll.:
(1) On 18 June 2025 the 100th anniversary of the finding of the sculpture of a woman in Lower Vestonice, called Vestonický venuše, is issued with a commemorative silver coin of CZK 200 (hereinafter referred to as the "two hundred koruna").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief.
(3) Two hundred koruna is rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of two hundred crowns is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm and its strength is 2,35 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns, the tolerance in the silver content shall be up to 1%, the difference in weight up to 0,26 g, the tolerance in diameter 0,1 mm and the tolerance in thickness 0,15 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *."
(1) On the front side of the two hundred crown is the figure of Věstonický venuše depicted from behind in the background of the landscape of Pavlovský mountains. At the lower left edge of the coin, the text "CZECH REPUBLIC" with the denomination and acronym of the money unit "200 CZK." Nominal value is bounded by dots. The brand of the Czech Mint consisting of the letters "No" and "M" is to the right of the character Věstonic Venus.
(2) On the reverse side of the two hundred crown is the character Vestonický venuše displayed from the front in the background of the landscape with 2 mammoths. At the lower left edge of the coin, the text is "VISONIC VENHÉ." The text "1925 - 2025" is to the right of the character Vestonický venuše. The initials of the author of the academic sculptor Majka Wichner's coin, which are made up of compositions of letters "M" and "W", are above the text "2025."
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decree shall take effect on 18 June 2025.
