GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 22 January 2014
amending Government Regulation No 272 / 2004 Coll., on the unilateral abolition of the visa requirement in respect of Australia, Canada, the Sultanate of Brunei and the United States of America, as amended by Government Regulation No 224 / 2009 Coll., and repealing the visa requirement for holders of diplomatic and service passports of Canada
The Government orders pursuant to § 181 (b) of Act No. 326 / 1999 Coll., on the residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic and on the amendment of certain laws, as amended by Act No. 428 / 2005 Coll., and to the extent provided by the directly applicable European Union Regulation (1):
Amendment of the Government Regulation on the unilateral visa waiver in relation to Australia, Canada, the Sultanate of Brunei and the United States of America
Government Decree No. 272 / 2004 Coll., on the unilateral visa waiver in relation to Australia, Canada, the Sultanate of Brunei and the United States of America, as amended by Government Decree No. 224 / 2009 Coll., is hereby amended as follows:
1. In Article 1 (1), "3 months' is replaced by" 90 days in any 180-day period ';
2. In Paragraph 1 (2), the words "diplomatic, service and 'and the words" 3 months' are replaced by the words "90 days in any 180-day period '.
3. In Article 1 (3), "3 months' is replaced by" 90 days in any 180-day period ';
4. In Article 1 (4), "3 months' is replaced by" 90 days in any 180-day period ';
Amendment of the Government Regulation on the introduction of the visa requirement in relation to Canada
Part 1 of Government Decree No. 224 / 2009 Coll., on the introduction of the visa requirement for holders of diplomatic and service passports of Canada and amending Government Decree No. 272 / 2004 Coll., on the unilateral abolition of the visa requirement in relation to Australia, Canada, the Sultanate of Brunei and the United States of America, shall be deleted.
EFFECTIVE
This Regulation shall enter into force on the 15th day following its publication.

1) Article 4 (1) (a) of Council Regulation (EC) No 539 / 2001 of 15 March 2001 listing the third countries whose nationals must be in possession of visas when crossing the external borders and those whose nationals are exempt from that requirement, as amended.
