DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of National Defence
of 8 February 1973
on changes in the organisation of military universities
The Federal Ministry of Defence announces the decision of the President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic of 28 June 1972 on changes in military education, which he made pursuant to the provisions of § 55 paragraph 4 of Act No. 19 / 1966 Coll., on Higher Education:
§ 1
Universities are divided into universityand universityschools.
§ 2
(1) High technical schools are:
a) Antonín Zapopocký Military Academy in Brno with faculty
- all-military, types of troops and services - postgraduate preparation
- Military engineering
- Foreign
b) High military school of ground army three-time hero CSSR and hero USSR army general Ludwig Svoboda in Vyškov, Moravia
(a) all-military faculty
b) Faculty of Military Species
c) High Military Aviation School of the Slovak National Uprising in Košice
a) Faculty of Engineering
b) Military Engineering Faculty
e) High Military Technical School of Czechoslovak-Soviet Friendship in Liptovský Mikuláš
(a) State I Air Defence Faculty
b) Faculty of Radiology and Automated Command Systems
c) Faculty of Air Defence II
(d) Connection Faculty
f) High military school of the rear and technical security of the hero CSSR Jan Šverma in Žilina
g) Military Faculty of the University of Transport in Žilina.
The degree of "engineer '(in short," Ing.') is awarded to the graduates of the Technical University.
(2) High military schools in the university direction are:
a) Military Political Academy of Klement Gottwald in Bratislava with Faculty
a) Military Political Faculty of Postgraduate Preparation
(b) Military Political Faculty of Higher Education
b) Military Medical Research and Training Institute Jan Evangelist Purkyně in Hradec Králové
Jan Evangelist Purkyně, the Military Medical Research and Training Institute, admits the degree of "Doctor of Medicine" (in short "MUDr."). Graduates of the Military Political Academy of Klement Gottwald and the Military Department at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University, who will perform the prescribed rigorously exam, are awarded the degree "Doctor of Philosophy" (in short "PhDr.").
§ 3
Graduates of the Military Academy of Antonín Zapotocký, the field of meteorology from 1958 to 1960 considered as graduates of university in the university direction.
§ 4
(1) The universities referred to in § 2 (1) (a), (b), (g) and (2) (a) - (c) were established on 1 September 1972, the universities referred to in § 2 (1) (c) - (f) will be established on 1 September 1973.
(2) This decree amends Part II (2) and (3) of the Annex to Decree MNO No 90 / 1966 Coll., which publishes an extract from the Order of the President of the Republic for the implementation of Act No. 19 / 1966 Coll., on universities in the section of military universities, and repeals Decree No. 2 / 1970 Coll., on changes in the organisation of military universities.
