of 4 March 1970
on the establishment of a medal for strengthening friendship in arms
The Bureau of the Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic has acted in accordance with Article 58 (3) of Constitutional Law No. 143 / 1968 Coll., on the Czechoslovak Federation, on the following legal measure:
In order to appreciate the merit of consolidating the armed forces and security forces of the Warsaw Treaty States and the people of these friendly countries with the armed forces and armed forces of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the following shall be established:
(a) Medal for fortifying friendship in the first degree,
b) Medal for Strengthening Friendship in Arms II,
c) Medal for fortifying friendship in a third degree weapon.
(1) The medal for strengthening friendship in arms is given by the President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.
(2) The detailed provisions on this medal and on its conferral include the attached Statutes which form part of this legal measure.
This legal measure shall take effect on the date of its publication.

DEFINITIONS
Medal for Fortification of Friendship in Arms
Medals For strengthening friendship in the first degree weapon, it is given:
(a) to the leading representatives, the collectibles of the services, offices and facilities of the armed forces and the Security Corps of the Warsaw Treaty for the outstanding merit of consolidating the combat cooperative of the armed forces and the Security Corps of the Warsaw Treaty with the armed forces and armed forces of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the deepening of ties between their members;
(b) leaders of the public, political and economic life of the Warsaw Treaty States, scientists, engineers, inventors, diplomats, teachers, artists, publicists, collectibles and organisations for their excellent merit in consolidating the ties of the people, the armed forces and the security forces of the Warsaw Treaty with the armed forces and armed forces of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, or for particularly important assistance in increasing their fighting and preparedness;
(c) leaders of the public, political and economic life of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, important Czechoslovak scientists, inventors, designers, diplomats, teachers, artists, publicists, collectists and organisations for excellent merit in consolidating the ties of the Czechoslovak people, the armed forces and armed forces of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic with armed forces or the Security Corps of the Warsaw Treaty States;
(d) to professional soldiers and members of the armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the collectibles of services, offices and facilities for particularly excellent merit in consolidating the fighting friendship of the armed forces and armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic with the armed forces and the security corps of the Warsaw Treaty States and increasing their combat cooperation and preparedness, or for particularly significant merit in consolidating the forces of the armed forces and armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic with the people of these friendly countries.
Medals For strengthening friendship in the second degree weapon, it is given:
(a) professional soldiers and members of the Security Corps, the Collective Services, Offices and Equipment of the Warsaw Treaty States for extraordinary efforts to strengthen the fighting friendship and deepen the volumes of the armed forces and of the Security Corps of the Warsaw Treaty with the armed forces and armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, or for a significant share in increasing their combat readiness and readiness;
(b) workers of public, political and economic life, collectibles and organizations of the Warsaw Treaty States for assistance, support or an important contribution in increasing the combat readiness of the armed forces and armed forces of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic or for efforts to consolidate the ties of the people and armed forces and the Security Corps of the Warsaw Treaty with the armed forces and armed forces of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic;
(c) workers of public, political and economic life, collectibles and organisations in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic for extraordinary efforts to strengthen the friendship and union of the Czechoslovak people, the armed forces and the armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic with armed forces and the Security Corps of the Warsaw Treaty States;
(d) professional soldiers and members of the armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, collectibles of services, offices and equipment for extraordinary efforts to consolidate the fighting friendship of the armed forces and armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic with the armed forces and the security corps of the Warsaw Treaty States and to increase their combat cooperation and preparedness, or to strengthen the ties of the armed forces and armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic with the people of these friendly countries.
Medals For strengthening friendship in a third-degree weapon it is given:
(a) professional soldiers and members of the security corps, collectibles of services, offices and equipment of the Warsaw Treaty States for the merit of increasing the combat readiness and alert of the armed forces and armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and strengthening mutual combat friendship;
(b) to professional soldiers and members of the armed corps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, to the collectibles of departments, offices and facilities for special efforts in increasing combat preparedness and alert and in strengthening the armed forces and security forces of the Warsaw Treaty States;
(c) to soldiers in the primary service of the armed forces of the Warsaw Treaty States and the armed forces of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic for acts of merit or special efforts in exercises or other joint actions;
(d) citizens, collectibles and organizations of the Warsaw Treaty States for significant assistance or successful cooperation with the armed forces and armed forces of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and citizens, collectibles and organizations of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic for significant assistance or successful cooperation with the armed forces and security forces of the Warsaw Treaty States.
Medals It has a diameter of 33 mm and is embossed
I. degree of yellow metal,
Grade II white metal,
Grade III gray metal.
On the face of the medal are two intermingling branches stylized in the shape of a laurel leaf. Both branches of the spiral tie the ribbon in the shape of the letter "S," at the bottom end of which there is a lyre, in the middle of the contour of the rocket, at the top end there is a symbol of the atomic core and a five-pointed star above the right edge of the branch. There's a copy of "Fortification of friendship in arms" on the perimeter of the medal. On the back of the medal, the ribbon is a spiral folded with a state emblem. On the ribbon decorated with lime leaves are initials "CSSR."
The medal is worn on a threadbare ribbon 38 mm wide and 55 mm long, blue-red-white-red-blue in 4: 4: 22: 4: 4. There is one silver-grey stripe in the middle of the first-degree medal, two silver-grey stripe in the second-grade medal and three silver-grey stripe in the third-grade medal; The strips are 2 mm wide and 4 mm apart.
Medals For strengthening friendship in the first degree weapon, it is worn on the left side of the chest behind the gold medal of the Czechoslovak Military Order of the White Lion "For Victory."
Medals For strengthening friendship in the second degree weapon, it is worn behind the medal "For Merit for Defence of the Fatherland."
Medals For strengthening friendship in a third-degree weapon it is worn behind the medal "For the Service of the Fatherland."
If only the ribbon is worn, it is tensed to a rectangular bar of 10 x 38 mm, marked in the middle with one grey-blue stripe at the medal of the first degree, two stripes at the medal of the second degree and three stripes at the medal of the third degree.
