on the introduction of the CZ- DRG hospitalised patients classification
The Czech Statistical Office, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health pursuant to § 19 (2) of Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on the State Statistical Service, introduces, with effect from 1 September 2018, for use in the reference network of acute bed care providers established pursuant to § 41a of Act No. 48 / 1997 Coll., on Public Health Insurance and on the amendment and addition of certain laws, as amended by Act No. 200 / 2015 Coll., Classification of hospitalized patients of the CZ- DRG (Classification of hospitalized patients Czech - Diagnosis Related Groups, hereinafter referred to as "CZ- DRG classification ').
The CZK-DRG classification allows patients in acute hospital care to be classified on the basis of their clinical similarity and comparability of the costs of their hospital stay.
For the classification of CZK-DRG for 2018:
1. Methodology for setting up the hospitalisation case in the CZ- DRG system, valid version of the CZ- DRG Pre-grouper software and accompanying methodological instructions:
a. Data interface of the CZ- DRG Pre-grouper tool,
b. Installation manual and user manual for CZ- DRG Pre-grouper,
c. Technical documentation of the CZK-DRG Pre-grouper tool.
2. Definition manual of the CZ- DRG classification system, valid version of the CZ- DRG Grouper software and accompanying methodological instructions:
a. Methodology for the use of DRG markers in the CZ- DRG system
b. Code list for critical performance and DRG markers of the CZ- DRG system,
c. CZ- DRG Grouper data interface,
d. Installation manual and user manual of the CZ- DRG Grouper,
e. Technical documentation of CZK-DRG Grouper.
3. Methodology for coding diagnoses in the CZ-DRG system.
4. Methodology for calculation of relative weights in the CZ- DRG system and accompanying methodological guidance:
a. Relevant costs of the hospitalisation case in the CZ- DRG system;
b. Methodology for the evaluation of the hospitalisation case in the CZ- DRG system;
c. Methodology for assigning relative weight to the hospitalisation case in the CZ- DRG system.
The Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, Palacký Square 4, 128 01 Prague 2 is responsible for the issue and distribution of the above materials. The Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic is a service organisation for the classification of CZ- DRG.
The definition manual and other methodologies, as well as the Pre-Grouper and Grouper software for the classification of CZK-DRG, can be obtained in electronic form using the procedure set out on the website www.mpocc.cz. Binding methodological materials and code lists for use under the CZ- DRG classification are also published on this website. All relevant information, including methodological materials and data analysis reports, is also published on the DRG Restart portal drg.uzis.cz.
