amending Act No. 329 / 1999 Coll., on travel documents and amending Act No. 283 / 1991 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, as amended (Act on travel documents), as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Amendment to the Travel Documents Act
Act No. 329 / 1999 Coll., on Travel Documents and Amendment to Act No. 283 / 1991 Coll., on Police of the Czech Republic, as amended, (Act on Travel Documents), as amended, Act No. 217 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 320 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 539 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 559 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 136 / 2006 Coll., Act No. 106 / 2007 Coll., Act No. 167 / 2012 Coll., Act No. 379 / 2007 Coll., Act No. 140 / 2008 Coll., Act No. 274 / 2008 Coll., Act No. 41 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 197 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 227 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 281 / 2009 Coll.
1. In the title of the Act, the words "and amending Act No. 283 / 1991 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, as amended, (Act on Travel Documents)" are deleted.
2. In Paragraph 3, the following sentence is added at the end of paragraph 1: "A citizen's card may also be used as a travel document to cross the external frontier (1f), provided that an international contract so provides or if a foreign State which has recognised the identity card as a travel document is included in the list of States where the external frontier (1f) can be crossed with the citizen's card. This list is published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by a communication in the Collection of Laws. '.
3. In Paragraph 3 (3), the sentence "Police will not allow a citizen to cross the external border (1f) with a citizen's card if a citizen has a restriction under special legislation (14) on the prohibition of travelling abroad."
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
