on the exceptional reduction of continuous rest in the week
The Government of the Czech Socialist Republic, after consulting the Czech Trade Union Council, hereby orders pursuant to Paragraph 92 (3) of the Labour Code ("the Code '):
If, for operational reasons, it is not possible to provide a worker of an organisation managed by a central authority of the Czech Socialist Republic or a national committee with continuous rest in a week of at least 32 hours (Section 92 (1) of the Code), the management organisation may schedule the working hours so that the rest period is at least 24 hours.
(a) seasonal and campaign work;
(b) in transport, cultural, health, social care and continuous establishments,
provided that the individual staff members have a continuous rest period of at least 32 hours at least once every three weeks.
(1) In works where the working hours are unevenly distributed according to the guidelines of the central authority of the Czech Socialist Republic (Section 85 (2) of the Code) for the entire calendar year, the management organisation may schedule the working hours so that, in periods with higher needs of work, continuous rest of at least 32 hours per worker per two-week period falls.
(2) Continuous rest may, to the extent referred to in paragraph 1, also be provided for farm animal treatment and plant production work during the peak agricultural work.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1977.1)
