Government Regulation
of 19 December 1950
amending the number and responsibilities of the ministries.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders, with the consent of the President of the Republic pursuant to § 1 of the Constitutional Act No. 47 / 1950 Coll., on adaptations in the organisation of public administration:
(1) A Ministry of Heavy Industry is hereby established from the Ministry of Industry.
(2) The Ministry of Heavy Industry performs the tasks of the former Ministry of Industry with regard to the tasks of heavy industry (mines, energy, chemistry, smelters, heavy machinery, precision engineering, general engineering and metal production, cars and aircraft).
(1) The Ministry of Light Industry is hereby established.
(2) The Ministry of Light Industry performs the other tasks of the existing Ministry of Industry, with the exception of the production of building materials.
(1) The Ministry of Food is hereby established.
(2) The Ministry of Food Industry performs the tasks of the current Ministry of Food in the field of food and associated production.
(3) Other tasks of the Ministry of Food are transferred to the Ministry of Internal Trade.
(1) A Ministry of Construction is hereby established from the Ministry of Technology.
(2) The Ministry of the Construction Industry performs the tasks of the former Ministry of Technology and takes over the tasks of the former Ministry of Industry in the field of construction materials production.
(1) The Ministry for the Unification of Laws is hereby repealed.
(2) The Ministry of the Interior is entrusted with the organisation of conditions, in particular as regards the tasks of the repealed Ministry and its staff.
The detailed definition of the tasks of individual ministries, including in the context of transfers of competence carried out under this Regulation, shall be the responsibility of the participating ministers in agreement with the Minister of Interior.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; All members of the government will do it.
