The Federal Assembly of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic decided on this constitutional law:
Constitutional Act No. 143 / 1968 Coll., on the Czechoslovak Federation, is added as follows:
In Article 62 (2), the third sentence of the following text is added: "However, the term of office of the President, elected after the free democratic elections to the Federal Assembly in 1990, will be 24 months."
This constitutional law shall take effect on the day of its publication.
