on the provisional application of the agreement on the indexation of the Czechoslovak contractual tariff rates between the Czechoslovak Government and the Greek Government, negotiated in Prague by exchange of notes of 7 April 1948.
Under Article 1 of the Act of 4 July 1923, No 158 Coll., on the provisional treatment of trade relations with foreign countries, and Article VII of the Law of 22 June 1926, No 109 Coll., which partially amends the Customs Tariff Act for the Czechoslovak customs territory and the Customs Tariff and issues provisions on trade relations with foreign countries, I declare:
According to the Resolution of the Government of the Czechoslovak Republic of 13 April 1948 and with the agreement of the President of the Republic, the Agreement on the Valorisation of the Czechoslovak Contractual Rate between the Czechoslovak Government and the Greek Government, negotiated in Prague in exchange for a note of 7 April 1948, is hereby entered into force with effect from 20 April 1948.

Mr Chargé d'Affaires,
Given that the exchange rate of the Czechoslovak krone in relation to foreign currencies was adjusted in 1945 by monetary reform and as a result, the autonomous duty rates of the Czechoslovak Common Customs Tariff have been adjusted from 1 July 1947 to the corresponding amount of the corresponding amount of the Czechoslovak krone, and since the Czechoslovak Government has decided that the contractual duty rates resulting from the Czechoslovak Customs Conventions should also be ad valorem on the Czechoslovak Customs Tariff (ex-109 Czechoslovak Tariff), originating in Pelopones, Attika, Beotie, Thesalia, Macedonia, Thrace and all Greek Islands, will be ad valorem on the 350.- CZK.
This Agreement shall be subject to approval in Czechoslovakia under the relevant laws of the Czechoslovak Republic and shall enter into force on the date notified by the Government of Czechoslovakia to the Greek Government.
However, the Agreement will enter into force provisionally with effect from 20 April 1948.
The validity of this Agreement shall be the same as that of the abovementioned Agreement of 30 July 1932, which forms an integral part.

Mr. Commissioner,
I have the honour of confirming receipt of your letter of numbers. 65.321 / IV-2 / 48 of 7 April 1948, which you asked me to send today, which reads:
"Given that the exchange rate of the Czechoslovak krone in relation to foreign currencies was adjusted in 1945 by monetary reform and as a result the autonomous tariff rates of the Czechoslovak Common Customs Tariff have been adjusted from 1 July 1947 to the corresponding amount of the Czechoslovak krone, and since the Czechoslovak Government has decided that the contractual tariff rates resulting from the Czechoslovak Customs Conventions should also be ad valorem, it has been agreed between the Czechoslovak Government and the Czech Republic, that the tariff rates granted in Article 4 of the Interim Trade Agreement between the Czechoslovak Republic and the Hellenic Republic of 30 July 1932 for wines (ex 109 Czechoslovak Tariff), originating in Peloponnes, Attica, Beotie, Thesalie, Epire, Macedonia, Thrace and all Greek Islands, will be valued at 350.- CZK.
