Czech National Banks
of 7 July 1995
on the issue of gold coins after 2500 CZK
The Czech National Bank provides according to § 22 (a) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
§ 1
(1) On 4 October 1995, gold coins are released for circulation with the theme "Czech Crown" of CZK 2500 (hereinafter referred to as "coins CZK 2500").
(2) The coins CZK 2500 are rolled of gold of purity 999.9. The weight of the coin CZK 2500 is 7.777 g, its diameter is 22 mm and its strength is 1.45 mm. The coin edge of 2500 CZK is serrated. When the coin is embossed 2500 CZK, the allowed tolerance is up and down on average 0.2 mm, up and down 0.15 mm, up 0.031 g in weight and up 0.01% in gold purity.
(3) Coins of CZK 2500 can also be embossed in a special design designed for collector's purposes with a polished coin field and a matt relief and a smooth edge. For the embossing of the coin 2500 CZK in a special design the same purity, diameter, weight and strength of the coin and the same tolerances as for the coin 2500 CZK in the normal design.
§ 2
(1) There is a Moravian eagle in the middle of the face of the coin 2500 CZK. The name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" is in an unclosed copy on the outer circle of the ring bounded by the line and the pearl. Under the Moravian eagle, the border of the intercircle is interrupted by the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation of the monetary unit in two rows "2500 CZK." The coin is placed at the bottom of the coin. The coin tag that drove the coin of CZK 2500 is placed symmetrically on both sides of the money unit shortcut.
(2) On the reverse of the coin 2500 CZK there is the theme of the reverse side of the tolar of Moravian states from 1620 with a wine column. On the left side of the vineyard column is the designation of the pure weight of the coin in Troy ounces with the designation of the weight unit "1 / 4 Oz," on the right side the designation of the metal coin and its purity "Au 999.9." On the outer ring, incompletely bounded by the line and the pearl, there is the text "KORUNA CZKI" in the unclosed copy, expressing the subject of the coin. The text is accompanied by a small decoration in the form of six-point stars. The author of the coin design is the academic sculptor Vladimir Oppl. The initials of his name "VO" are placed at the bottom of the coin to the right of the heel of the vineyard column.
§ 3
This Decree shall take effect on 15 September 1995.
