DECLARATION

of 10 May 2012

on the publication of the National Nature Reserve of the Mothelen Snake Step and establishing its closer protection conditions

The Ministry of the Environment provides pursuant to § 79 (4) (h) of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on the Conservation of Nature and Landscape, as amended by Act No. 218 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 312 / 2008 Coll. and Act No. 349 / 2009 Coll.:

§ 1

Definition of the national nature reserve

(1) The National Nature Reserve of the Mohelen Snake Step ("the National Nature Reserve") is hereby declared.

(2) The national nature reserve is situated in the region of Vysočina, in the cadastral territories of Dukovana and Mohelno. The national nature reserve boundaries shall be determined by closed geometric patterns with direct sides whose vertices are determined by coordinates of the single trigonometric network of the cadastral1). The lists of coordinates of the vertices of geometric patterns as they follow in the patterns are given in Annex 1 to this Decree.

(3) The protection zone of the national nature reserve is situated in the region of Vysočina, in the cadastral territory of Mohelno. The national nature reserve protection zone boundaries shall be determined by closed geometric patterns with direct sides whose vertices are determined by coordinates of the single trigonometric network of the cadastral1). The lists of coordinates of the vertices of geometric patterns as they follow in the patterns are given in Annex 2 to this decree.

(4) An indicative graphical representation of the territory of the national nature reserve and its protection zone is given in Annex 3 to this decree.

§ 2

Subject matter of protection

National nature reserves are protected by:

(a) natural forest crops consisting primarily of the communes of the rubble forests and the snakes' warm-water forests;

(b) associations of narrow dry lawns and subpanon rock lawns,

(d) the population of the rare and endangered species of the pest (Notholaena marantae), including its biotope;

(e) the populations of rare and endangered species of seabream (Spermophilus citellus) and spellfish (Euplagia quadripunctaria), including their biotopes.

§ 3

Closer protection conditions

Only with the consent of the competent nature conservation authority can the national nature reserve

(a) to make changes to the types of land or methods of exploitation (2);

(b) to adjust the surface of the road using non-local natural material of the same geological origin;

(d) carry out geological work linked to the intervention into the territory; or

(e) allow the free movement of dogs, except for the exercise of hunting rights.

§ 4

Efficacy

This Decree shall take effect on 1 July 2012.
