on provisional application Additional agreement to the Czechoslovak-South Slavic Trade and Navigation Agreement of 14 November 1928, signed in Prague on 10 April 1948.
Under Article 1 of the Act of 4 July 1923, No 158 Coll., on the provisional treatment of trade relations with foreign persons and Article VII of the Act of 22 June 1926, No 109 Coll., which partially amends the Customs Tariff Act for Czechoslovak customs territories and customs tariffs and lays down provisions concerning trade relations with foreign persons, I declare:
According to the Resolution of the Government of the Czechoslovak Republic of 13 April 1948 and with the agreement of the President of the Republic, the Additional Agreement on the Trade and Navigation Agreement of the Czechoslovak-South Slavic Treaty of 14 November 1928 signed in Prague on 10 April 1948 is entered into force on 20 April 1948.

Additional agreement
the Czechoslovak-South Slavic commercial and navigation contract of 14 November 1928.
Signed officers, duly authorised, declare that they have agreed to supplement the trade and navigation agreement of 14 November 1928 as follows:
Wines, ex-rates, in accordance with Article 109 (b) of the Czechoslovak Customs Tariff, originating in and coming from the Federal People's Republic of Jugoslavia, accompanied by a certificate of origin issued by the South Slavic Office to that effect, shall not be subject, on importation into the Czechoslovak Republic, to customs duties higher than the following:

Shipments of South Slavic wines must be accompanied not only by a certificate of origin but also by an analysis finding when imported into the Czechoslovak Republic.
The certificates of origin will be issued by the "Commissions of the Ministry of Industry of the Czech Republic" in the individual People's Republics of the Federal People's Republic of Jugoslavia on the basis of confirmation by the Ministries of Agriculture of the People's Republics or by the Agricultural Department of the Regional and Regional National Committees from which the wine originates and the findings on the analysis of the oenological, research and control station and other chemical laboratories determined by the Ministry of Agriculture. The South Slavic Government shall communicate to the Czechoslovak Government a list of these stations and laboratories.
The findings of the analysis will in particular be contained:
specific weight,
alcohol grade;
the content of all acids,
volatile acid content,
the extract content,
sugar content,
a sugar-free extract content,
ash (mineral) content,
a declaration that it is natural wine, without any additives.
This Additional Agreement, which replaces the Agreement of 15 November 1946 on the padding of South Slavic wines, is subject to approval in the Czechoslovak Republic according to the relevant provisions of its legislation. The Agreement shall enter into force on the date of notification to the South Slavic Government of its approval and shall remain in force six months after the date of the notification. However, both Parties agree that the Agreement will be included in the provisional application on 20 April 1948.
This Additional Agreement is drawn up in two identical original specimens in Czech and Serbian languages.
