THE LAW
of 14 December 1976
on the establishment of a medal for dedication to socialism
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
A medal for dedicated work for socialism in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic is hereby established for the award of years of dedicated work and merit in the building of socialism in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and for the award of continuous commitment to the Communist Party's policy.
Medals The dedicated work for socialism is given to individuals for their long-standing and valuable activities in political and public functions, or for their long-standing and valuable work in the state institutions, in which they were significantly involved in the implementation of the Communist Party policy.
Medals The President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic is lending his dedication to socialism.
Medals It has a diameter of 33 mm for dedicated work for socialism and is embossed with yellow metal. There's an open book with a sickle and a hammer raised by a five-pointed star on the bulkhead. The target is placed on a stylized leaf decorated with lip branches. Under the leaf comes the edge of the medal rays. On the reverse, there is a five-pointed star with a state emblem overlapping the rays on the edges of which is the inscription "For the dedication of socialism." The medal is attached with a perpendicular ear and a moving ring to a hanging buckle in the form of a stylized lime branch, which is stretched 38 mm wide and 55 mm long blue-white-red-white-blue ribbon in a ratio of 6: 6: 14: 6: 6.
(1) The Medal of Sacrifice for Socialism is worn on the left side of the breast for distinction for outstanding work.
(2) If only the ribbon of distinction is worn, it is tensed to a rectangular bar with dimensions of 38x10 mm, on which the miniature of the face of the gold medal is placed in the middle of the red stripe. The ribbon is worn behind the ribbon honours for excellent work.
This Law shall take effect on 1 January 1977.
