of 14 June 1946
establishing the Czechoslovak Command Order of Jan Žižka of Trocnova.
With the approval of the President of the Czechoslovak Republic, the Government hereby orders the following, pursuant to Section 1 of the Act of 21 October 1936, No 268 Coll., on Regulations and Titles:
§ 1.
(1) The Czechoslovak Command Order of Jan Žižka of Trocnova of three degrees is hereby established as a military medal for the commanders of Czechoslovak troops or certain Allied armies, who have contributed to the liberation of the Czechoslovak Republic to their forces in the Second World War.
(2) Further provisions on these rules include the attached Statutes which form part of this Regulation.
§ 2.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; they shall be carried out by the Minister for National Defence, in agreement with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, as regards the granting of orders to foreigners.

DEFINITIONS
Czechoslovak command order Jan Žižka of Trocnova.
The Czechoslovak command order of Jan Žižka of Trocnova is established, with the approval of the President of the Republic, by a decree of the Czechoslovak Government as a military medal for the commanders of Czechoslovak troops or certain Allied armies who contributed to the victory of their troops in the Second World War to the liberation of the Czechoslovak Republic in particular by demonstrating:
(a) personal bravery which has had an excellent influence on the performance of a given combat task unit own, neighbouring or higher; or
(b) excellent combat activity in the performance of the duties of the unit commander.
(1) The Czechoslovak command order of Jan Žižka of Trocnova has three degrees:
a) I. degree: gold star of Czechoslovak command order Jan Žižka of Trocnova,
b) II. degree: silver star of Czechoslovak command order Jan Žižka of Trocnova,
c) III. degree: Medal of Czechoslovak Command Order Jan Žižka of Trocnova.
(2) Grade I is generally awarded to the commanders of higher troops, their representatives and the chiefs of the army staff.
(3) Grade II is generally awarded to the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Corps, Division and commanders of military bodies.
(4) Grade III is generally awarded to battalions, divisions, hundredths and squadrons.
(5) Line honours are 500 degrees, 1000 degrees and 5000 pieces of grade III.
A description of the order.
(1) The basis of the order of 1st and 2nd degrees is an eight-point star with an average of 70 mm in diameter, in the centre of which is the relief of one-eyed Žiska and around the relief the password "Do not be afraid of enemies, do not look at the quantity"; The third stage is a round target with a diameter of 35 mm, on whose faces are the same relief and password as at 1st and 2nd degree, and on the back of the upper part the inscription "Czechoslovak Command Order of Jan Žižka z Trocnova" and under it crossed mittens.
(2) The first degree is silver and the whole gold, the second and third grades are silver.
(3) Grade I and II are one-sided and attached to the right side of the breast with a screw and a nut. Grade III is worn on the ribbon described in the next paragraph on the left side of the breast.
a) The order is characterized, if not in nature, by a ribbon 40 mm long and 10 mm wide, by the colour black with a red 5 mm wide strip in the middle. The ribbon colour symbolizes the Hussite flag in black with red chalice in the centre of the flag.
(b) grades I and II of the order are characterised by two cross-mittens attached to the ribbon; Grade I is distinguished by the thumb gilded, grade II is the thumb silver plated. The mittens are turned upside down, the handles are down.
(5) The order follows the order of the White Lion for victory.
The Czechoslovak command order of Jan Žižka of Trocnova is granted for life and free of charge. At the same time as the Order, he receives a decorated diploma.
In the event of the death of a decorated person, the Order with a diploma shall be left to the heirs in memory. But they must not carry the order.
The Czechoslovak command order of Jan Žižka of Trocnova is given by the President of the Republic on a proposal from the Government; If the Order is awarded as a medal for bravery before the enemy, it shall be given by the President of the Republic, after the case of the Minister of National Defence or the competent commander of the army, if the President of the Republic so authorises.
The distinguished renounced the Czechoslovak command order of Jan Žižka from Trocnova, if he was sentenced by court for a crime which in turn has lost domestic and foreign orders, military and civil honours and honorary badges. In this case, the condemned is obliged to return the Czechoslovak command order of Jan Žižka of Trocnova together with his diploma to the Ministry of National Defence.
The matter of the Czechoslovak command order Jan Žižka of Trocnova is managed by the Ministry of National Defence.
