Regulation of Ministers for Labour and Social Welfare and Home Affairs
of 24 May 1949
providing for a derogation from the rate of paid leave to be recovered in 1949 for certain foreign service employees, editors and members of artistic ensembles.
Ministers of Labour and Social Welfare and Home Affairs order, in agreement with the ministers involved and after hearing, a single trade union organisation pursuant to Section 20 of the Act of 24 March 1949, No 91 Coll., on paid leave for recovery in 1949:
(1) The vacations of foreign service staff serving in the tropical zone are extended by one calendar week.
(2) Foreign service workers serving abroad at Czechoslovak representative offices who spend their holidays in their country are hereby extended by a period equal to that which they did not spend in 1947 and 1948.
(1) The editors are entitled to an area holiday due to them under the rules in force in 1948.
(2) Paragraph 1 (2) shall apply mutatis mutandis to editors and foreign correspondents, provided that the staff of public undertakings subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Information and are permanently assigned to the performance of service abroad.
(3) Members of the Union of Czech Journalists or the Union of Slovak Journalists shall be considered editors.
Members of permanent theatre, radio or film ensembles and professional symphonic orchestras shall be entitled to a vacation of four calendar weeks.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1949.
