of 17 February 1967
on changes in the organisation and tasks of certain executive bodies of the Slovak National Council
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
Changes in the organisation and tasks of certain Slovak National Council commissions
(1) The Commission of the Slovak National Education Council is hereby established.
(2) The Commission of the Slovak National Council for Education is now the Commission of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture.
(1) The Commission of the Slovak National Council for Culture and Information is hereby established as an initiative, control, executive and coordination body of the Slovak National Council to address fundamental issues in the field of culture and information in Slovakia.
(2) The responsibility of the Commission of the Slovak National Council for Culture and Information comes from the existing Commission of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture.
(3) The Commission of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture is hereby repealed.
The members of the Commission of the Slovak National Council for Culture and Information are elected by the Slovak National Council from among its Members, from among the representatives of the Czechoslovak Radio, Czechoslovak Television, Czechoslovak Film and Czechoslovak Press Office for Slovakia, representatives of artistic associations and social organisations and from other cultural and information staff.
(1) The Commission is hereby established the Slovak National Council for Forestry and Water.
(2) The responsibility of the Commission of the Slovak National Council for Forestry and Water Management is transferred from the existing Commission of the Slovak National Council for Agriculture to the area of forestry and to the current Commission of the Slovak National Water Management Council.
The name of the Commission of the Slovak National Agriculture Council is changed to the Commission of the Slovak National Agriculture Council. *)
The Commission of the Slovak National Water Council is hereby repealed.
Changes in the fields of state administration in which the delegates of the Slovak National Council are active and in the activities of certain delegates of the Slovak National Council
(1) In the field of education, there is a representative of the Slovak National Council for Education.
(2) Under the responsibility of the delegate of the Slovak National Council for Education, the competence which has so far been delegated in the management of schools, preschool and extracurricular educational establishments, school and extracurricular education of workers, in the field of social legal care for children, scientific degrees and in the management of foreign contacts in the field of education has been delegated to the delegate of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture.
(1) In the field of culture and information, the delegate of the Slovak National Council for Culture and Information is active.
(2) In the field of culture and art, in particular in matters of cultural education, library and theatre, museums and galleries, concert and exhibition activities, cultural heritage and nature conservation, copyright, publishing, printing, cultural production, management and coordination of cultural relations with foreign and ecclesiastical communities, the mandate of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture is still subject to specific regulations.
(1) The Regional Directors of the Czechoslovak Radio, Czechoslovak Television and the Director of the Czechoslovak Press Office for Slovakia are responsible for the activities of their organisations in Slovakia by the representatives of the Slovak National Council for Culture and Information and the competent central director.
(2) The Regional Director of the Czechoslovak Radio, Czechoslovak Television and the Director of the Czechoslovak Press Office for Slovakia is appointed and recalled by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council on a proposal from the delegate of the Slovak National Council for Culture and Information.
(1) In the field of agriculture, a representative of the Slovak National Council for Agriculture is active. * *)
(2) The delegates of the Slovak National Agriculture Council * *) are transferred to the responsibility which, on the agricultural sector * *, has been assigned by specific regulations to the responsibility of the Slovak National Agriculture Council. * * *)
(1) In the field of forestry and water management, an agent of the Slovak National Council for Forestry and Water Management is active.
(2) The delegates of the Slovak National Council for Forestry and Water Management are transferred to the responsibility which has so far been entrusted by the delegates of the Slovak National Council for Agriculture and the President of the Commission of the Slovak National Water Management Council in the field of forestry and water management.
New arrangements for popular control and statistics
(1) The Slovak Statistical Office operates in the field of statistics.
(2) The Slovak Statistical Office is the authority of the Slovak National Council and the regional authority of the State Statistical Office.
(3) The Slovak Statistical Office is transferred from the existing Commission of People's Control and Statistics of the Slovak National Council to the section of statistics and to the authority to submit reports and analyses to the Bureau of the Slovak National Council and to other Slovak national authorities on the state and development of the national economy and society in Slovakia.
(1) The head of the Slovak Statistical Office is the President, appointed and dismissed by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council on a proposal from the President of the State Statistical Office.
(2) A Statistical Council is hereby established to address fundamental issues related to the activities of the Slovak Statistical Office. Its chairman is the President of the Slovak Statistical Office; The other members of the Statistical Council shall be appointed and removed by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
(3) The Statute of the Statistical Council is approved by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
Changes in the organisation and designation of certain components of the Executive apparatus of the Slovak National Council
(1) The executive apparatus of the Slovak National Council and its bodies in the following fields of government are:
a) in the field of education - the delegation of the Slovak National Council for Education,
b) in the field of culture and information - the delegation of the Slovak National Council for Culture and Information,
(c) agriculture - the delegation of the Slovak National Council for Agriculture,
(d) in the field of forestry and water management, the delegation of the Slovak National Council for Forestry and Water Management.
(2) Workers of the Slovak Statistical Office are part of the single apparatus of the Slovak National Council.
Final provisions
Unless otherwise provided for in this Act, the authorities of the Slovak National Council, referred to in this Act, are covered by the Act of the Slovak National Council No. 124 / 1964 Coll., on the Rules of Procedure and Conditions of Employment of the Slovak National Council.
It shall be repealed:
(a) Act of the Slovak National Council No. 49 / 1966 Coll., on the Commission of the Slovak National Water Management Council,
b) Paragraph 4 (2) of the Slovak National Council Act No. 135 / 1965 Coll., on the jurisdiction of the Czechoslovak Press Office in Slovakia.
This Act shall take effect on the date of approval of the Slovak National Council.
