Government Regulation
of 4 March 1953
on the verification of documents and signatures on documents of the national committees.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders pursuant to § 1 (1) (a) of Act No. 143 / 1949 Coll., on changes in the organisation of public administration and in the jurisdiction of its bodies:
(1) The judicial and notarial verification of the copies (photocopies) of the documents and signatures on the documents may be replaced by the verification of the local national committee, except as regards the documents to be used abroad.
(2) This verification shall be carried out on request by all the local national committees responsible for the management of the register. If the local national committee cannot carry out the verification safely for linguistic reasons, it shall refer the applicant to a folk court or to a state notaries. It may do so in other cases, if it considers it appropriate.
(3) Copies (photocopies) of military, civil and equivalent certificates may not be verified.
In cases where this is not contrary to the general interest, the national committees shall issue certified copies of their official proceedings or extracts from such proceedings, where requested by the person to whom the official proceedings are concerned or where they certify a reasoned interest. These copies (extracts) may be used in the same way as copies certified by the judicial, notarized or local national committee.
The Ministry of the Interior shall adjust the details for the implementation of this Regulation.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 April 1953; they shall be carried out by the Minister for the Interior.
