Law on the unification of sickness rates

THE LAW
of 14 December 1983
on the unification of sickness rates
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
Čl. I
Act No. 54 / 1956 Coll., on occupational sickness insurance, as amended by Act No. 16 / 1959 Coll., amending and supplementing the Act on occupational sickness insurance, the Labour Code No. 65 / 1965 Coll., Act No. 87 / 1968 Coll., on changes in sickness insurance and sickness care, Act No. 83 / 1968 Coll., on extended maternity leave, on maternity benefits and on allowances for children from sickness insurance, the statutory measure of the Bureau of the Federal Assembly No. 8 / 1982 Coll., on increased maternity allowance and changes in sickness insurance, and Act No. 73 / 1982 Coll., on amendments to the Social Security Act and the Regulations on sickness insurance shall be amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 18 reads:
„§ 18
(1) The sickness allowance per working day is 90% of the net daily wage.
(2) However, for the first three working days of incapacity for work, the sickness rate is 70% of the net daily wage. In the event of an incapacity for work caused by an accident at work (occupational disease) or in the course of quarantine, they shall be entitled for the first three working days to 90% of the net daily wage; The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic may by regulation provide that sickness benefits in the first three working days, even in other cases of disability.
(3) The sickness benefit is at least 16 ccs per day; However, if this amount exceeds 90% of the worker's net daily wage, the sickness rate shall be 90% of that wage. '
2. Paragraph 51 (1) (c) shall be deleted.
3. Paragraph 61 (2) shall be deleted.
Čl. II
Act No. 103 / 1964 Coll., on the security of cooperative peasants in sickness and on the security of the mother and child, as amended by Act No. 141 / 1965 Coll., on certain changes in social security of cooperative peasants, Act No. 116 / 1967 Coll., on certain other changes in social security of cooperative peasants, Act No. 89 / 1968 Coll., amending and supplementing the Act on social security of cooperative peasants and the Act on Social Security, Act No. 99 / 1972 Coll., on increasing child and educational allowances, Act No. 121 / 1975 Coll., on Social Security and the statutory measure of the Bureau of the Federal Assembly No. 8 / 1982 Coll., on the increase of maternity allowance and changes in sickness insurance, is amended as follows:

„§ 10
(1) The sickness allowance per working day is 90% of the average daily wage.
(2) However, for the first three working days of incapacity for work, the sickness rate is 70% of the average daily wage. In the event of an incapacity for work caused by an accident at work (occupational disease), or in the course of quarantine, they shall, for the first three working days, account for 90% of the average daily wage; The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic may by regulation provide that sickness benefits in the first three working days, even in other cases of disability.
(3) The sickness benefit is at least 16 ccs per day; However, if this amount exceeds 90% of the average daily wage, the sickness rate shall be 90% of that remuneration. '
2. Paragraph 14 (2) shall be deleted.
3. In Paragraph 118 (1), the words "and species' are deleted.
Čl. III
(1) The sickness payments at an amount fixed under the existing rules shall be adjusted in accordance with Articles I (1) and II (1) without application from the date of application of this Law.
(2) The provisions of the preceding paragraph apply mutatis mutandis to the granting of aid for the treatment of a family member.
Čl. IV
This Act shall take effect on 1 January 1984.
