on the conditions under which banknotes, coins, cheques, securities and credit cards may be reproduced and the production of articles imitating them
According to § 27 (e) of Act No. 22 / 1992 Coll., on the State Bank of Czechoslovak:
§ 1
Unless otherwise specified, banknotes, coins, cheques, securities and credit cards (hereinafter referred to as "money symbols') may only be reproduced with the consent of the Czechoslovak State Bank.
§ 2
(1) Banknotes may be reproduced without consent if:
(a) one-sided black and white reproduction, provided that their length does not exceed half the length of the banknote being reproduced or at least half the length of the banknote being reproduced,
(b) unilateral colour reproduction;
1. the length of which, while maintaining the ratio of the sides, does not exceed a third of the length of the banknote reproduced or at least twice the length of the banknote reproduced;
2. if parts of banknotes not exceeding half the area of the pattern of the banknote reproduced are reproduced in such a way that it is not possible to complete the banknote from each part;
3. on which the longer and shorter side of the reproduced banknote are at least 20 ° different from the right angle.
(2) The following may be acquired without consent:
(a) graphic representation of coins;
(b) the reproduction of the travel cheques under the same conditions as the reproduction of banknotes;
(c) a graphical representation of payment cards.
(3) Cheques, with the exception of travel cheques, and securities may be reproduced with the consent of the issuing bank or other issuing person. Such consent shall not be required if the reproduction is clearly marked "OPIS," "COPY" or "REPRODUCTION."
(4) For the purposes of this Order, a cheque means both a blank and a completed cheque form.
§ 3
(1) Articles imitating symbols of money can be produced without consent when they are made of material other than material which is unmistakable with the original material, such as coins of material other than metal, banknotes, cheques and securities of material other than paper, credit cards, other than paper, plastic or metal.
(2) The provisions of paragraph 1 shall be without prejudice to copyright, trade marks and designs legislation, (1) or to the international treaties by which the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic is bound, provided that the imitation symbols of money enjoy protection under rights in those laws and international treaties.
§ 4
Reproduction of symbols of money or the production of objects imitating them by modification, contrary to this decree, is not justified. 2)
§ 5
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
