Slovak National Council
of 29 September 1960
on the reimbursement of Members of the Slovak National Council and the salaries of the Vice-Presidents and delegates of the Slovak National Council
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
(1) Members of the Slovak National Council are entitled to reimbursement of expenses related to the exercise of the parliamentary mandate of compensation of CZK 1000 per month.
(2) If a Member of the Slovak National Council is a Member of the National Assembly at the same time, he shall receive only one replacement, even higher.
(1) The salary and other formalities of the President, Vice-Presidents and delegates of the Slovak National Council shall be determined by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
(2) Where the President, Vice-Presidents and delegates of the Slovak National Council have a different State office at the same time, they shall have only one salary with the formalities and higher.
(3) The President, Vice-Presidents and delegates of the Slovak National Council are not entitled to compensation for the implementation of the parliamentary mandate provided for in Article 1.
(1) The refund provided for in Article 1 is paid in advance on a monthly basis.
(2) Salaries and other formalities provided for in Article 2 are paid monthly in arrears.
(3) The right to pay and other formalities arises on the day on which the President, Vice-President and delegate of the Slovak National Council was elected and expires three months after the end of his term of office.
During the term of office of Vice-President and delegate of the Slovak National Council, the employment relationship in which these officials were in office prior to their appointment shall not be interrupted. This period shall be fully evaluated for social security purposes.
(1) For taking part in meetings of the Slovak National Council or of its bodies and for taking part on other occasions under the authority of the Slovak National Council Bureau, as well as for the time needed to travel to and from the designated place, the 100 Kcs daily diet shall be for Members. Members who receive salaries under § 2 are not on a diet.
(2) Members who are employees shall receive compensation for the days referred to in paragraph 1 from their employer at the rate of the average earnings calculated over the last three months. Members who are not employed (e.g. members of single agricultural cooperatives) will receive adequate compensation for lost earnings from the Slovak National Council.
(3) Members may use public transport vehicles free of charge in Slovakia; to meetings of the Slovak National Council and its bodies or to travel under the authority of the Bureau of the Slovak National Council and back also aircraft.
The compensation referred to in § 1 and other elements referred to in § 2 (1) are the compensation provided for in § 3 (5) of Act No. 76 / 1952 Coll., on the payroll tax.
The Act of the Slovak National Council No. 9 / 1954 Coll. SNR, on Replacements of Members of the Slovak National Council, and the Order of the Slovak National Council No. 21 / 1946 Coll. SNR, on the salaries of the President and members of the Board of Authors, is hereby repealed.
The Act shall take effect from 1 July 1960; it shall be carried out by the Bureau of the Slovak National Council.
