on changes in the organisation of public administration and in the scope of its bodies.
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following Act:
(1) In order to simplify and streamline the exercise of public administration and to limit the number of its bodies, offices, institutes, undertakings, funds and establishments (hereinafter referred to as "public authorities"), the Government may, by means of a regulation:
(a) amend and abolish the responsibilities of public authorities;
(b) disturb public authorities whose continued duration is no longer justified in the light of changes in the scope or in terms of effective organisation of the public administration and determine who will carry out their liquidation.
(2) Paragraph 8 (4) of the Act of 21 December 1948, No 280 Coll., on regional establishment, remains unaffected.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication; it shall be carried out by all members of the Government.
