GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 26 March 2008
amending Government Regulation No 27 / 2003 Coll., laying down technical requirements for lifts, as amended by Government Regulation No 127 / 2004 Coll.
The Government orders pursuant to § 22 of Act No. 22 / 1997 Coll., on Technical Requirements for Products and on the Amendment and Addition of Certain Acts, as amended by Act No. 71 / 2000 Coll. and Act No. 205 / 2002 Coll., (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") to implement § 12 (1) and (3) of the Act:
Čl. I
Government Regulation No. 27 / 2003 Coll., laying down technical requirements for lifts, as amended by Government Regulation No. 127 / 2004 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. in Article 1 (2) and (3):
"(2) For the purposes of this Regulation, lift means a lifting device operating at different height levels with a supporting part moving between guides which are fixed and diverted from a horizontal plane at an angle of more than 15 °, intended for transport
(a) persons,
(b) persons and costs;
(c) only costs where the carrier is accessible in such a way that it can be accessed without difficulty and is equipped with a control device on the carrier or within reach of the person on it.
Lifting appliances, the carrier part of which does not move between fixed guides, provided that they have a designated movement path, shall also be regarded as lifts under this Regulation.
(3) This Regulation shall not apply to:
(a) lifting appliances not exceeding 0,15 m / s;
(b) building lifts;
(c) cableway installations, including cableway installations;
(d) lifts specially designed and constructed for military or police purposes;
(e) lifting appliances designed to carry out work;
(f) mining installations;
(g) lifting equipment for stage equipment intended for lifting performers during the performance;
(h) lifting appliances in means of transport;
(i) lifting equipment connected with machinery and intended solely for access to the workplace, including maintenance and inspection points on machinery;
(j) gear tracks;
(k) moving steps and moving walkways. ';
2. In Paragraph 1, at the end of paragraph 4, the dot is replaced by a comma and the following point (f) is added:
"(f) the carrier part of the lift carried by persons or cargo when lifting or launching them.";
3. Point 1.2 of Annex 1 reads as follows:
"1.2. Carrier
The carrier part of the elevator must be a cage. The lift cage shall be designed and constructed in such a way that its space and strength correspond to the supplier's maximum number of persons and the load capacity of the lift.
Where the dimensions permit, the cage for lifts intended for the carriage of persons shall be designed and constructed in such a way that its design does not obstruct or impede the access and use of persons with reduced mobility, such as persons in a wheelchair for disabled persons, and that it allows any appropriate adaptations which may facilitate the use of such persons. ';

Efficacy
This Regulation shall take effect on 29 December 2009.
