on the purchase of wood from the forest
The Ministry of Forestry and Water Management of the Czech Socialist Republic, in agreement with the Ministry of Industry of the Czech Socialist Republic, the Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition of the Czech Socialist Republic and with other participating central authorities, provides pursuant to § 55 of Act No. 166 / 1960 Coll., on Forests and Forestry (Forest Act):
Purchase of wood from the forest
(1) In order to ensure the efficient use of timber for the national economy, forest owners (users) shall, within 14 days of extraction, offer in writing to the organisation carrying out forest management (Section 20 (1) of the Forest Act) for redemption:
- coniferous and leafy raw strains and coniferous unsorted straight wood,
- coniferous and leafy cuts,
- coniferous mining wood,
- coniferous and leafy fibre wood,
- coniferous and leafy industrial timber, equal to or less than the wood which, pursuant to paragraph 4, may be sold directly to the wood-working organisation and which they may retain under Paragraph 2.
(2) The organisation carrying out the professional management of forests shall be obliged to purchase all the coniferous wood offered listed in paragraph 1 within 14 days of the receipt of the offer.
(3) The wood offered by the organisation carrying out the professional management of forests is not required to be redeemed; if they are not purchased within 14 days of receipt of the offer, the bidder may freely dispose of them.
(4) With the written consent of the forest management organisation, the owner (user) of the harvested timber listed in paragraph 1 may sell directly to the timber organisation.
(5) If there is no agreement on the place of redemption, it is the place of extraction (at the stump).
Own consumption of wood
The Socialist organisation, which properly performs the tasks set out in the forest economic plan, may retain 15% or more of wood from the completed mining task for the necessary repair and maintenance of its buildings and installations and, with the approval of the District National Committee, additional timber for the authorised investment construction.
Wood transport
All timber harvested (including wood not purchased) may be removed after the inspection mark and after the relevant document (code list) has been issued by the organisations carrying out the professional management of the forests.
Final provisions
The provisions of the Decree do not apply to timber harvested in the forests of state organisations, to which the national economic development plan is set out specifically as a binding task for the supply of timber.
The title of Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management No 89 / 1965 Coll., "on the purchase of raw wood, the protection of trees growing outside the forest and the exceptional supply of timber ', as amended by Decree No 154 / 1968 Coll., is amended and read as follows:" on the protection of trees growing outside the forest'.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
