THE LAW
of 3 April 2001
amending Act No. 587 / 1992 Coll., on excise duties, as amended, and certain other laws
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Amendment of the Excise Tax Act
Amendment of the Act on the abolition of the State Tobacco Monopoly
Amendment to the Price Act
Act No. 526 / 1990 Coll., on Prices, as amended by Act No. 135 / 1994 Coll., Act No. 151 / 1997 Coll. and Act No. 29 / 2000 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. In Article 1 (6), the words "and for the purposes of payment of excise duty on tobacco products under the Excise Tax Act, 2a) 'shall be inserted after the words" Exceptional Market Situation'.
2. footnote (2a) shall read:
"(2a) Part Two, Title V and Part Three, Act No. 587 / 1992 Coll., on excise duties, as amended by Act No. 141 / 2001 Coll. '.
3. In Article 13, the following paragraph 4 is added:
"(4) The labelling of tobacco products by the final consumer is governed by the Excise Tax Act. 2a) '.
Amendment of the budgetary rules law
Act 218 / 2000 Coll., on budgetary rules and amending certain related laws (budgetary rules), as amended by Act 493 / 2000 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. in Article 7 (1) (o), the words "special law" shall be replaced by the words "special law."
2. Paragraph 45 (6) reads as follows:
"(6) Balances in the accounts referred to in paragraph 5 shall not be forfeited at the end of the year. Interest on these accounts shall be the income of the State budget and the remuneration for banking services shall be the expenditure of the State budget, unless otherwise provided for in this Act. '
EFFECTIVE
This Act shall take effect on 1 July 2001, with the exception of points 5 to 7, 9, 10, 12 to 15, 19, 25, 28, 50, 56, 72 to 88, 90 to 106, 108 and points 1 to 3 of Article II, which shall take effect on 1 August 2001, and Article VII of Part Five, which shall take effect on the date of its publication.
