on the issue of banknotes of 5 000 CZK model 1999
The Czech National Bank provides for the Czech National Bank in accordance with § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
§ 1
On 8 September 1999, banknotes of 5 000 CZK of model 1999 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1999 banknote") shall be issued for circulation.
§ 2
(1) The 1999 model banknote has the same dimensions including the tolerance allowed as the €5,000 banknote of model 19931) (hereinafter the 1993 model banknote). Paper of the same quality and colour is used for the 1999 banknote, with a protective window band and watermark the same as for the 1993 banknote.
(2) Banknote paper used to print banknotes of model 1999 is equipped with visible orange protective fibres of 6 mm length.
(3) Banknote paper in the case of a 1999 banknote is also provided with a 20 mm width protection iridiscent strip with a 0,5 mm tolerance permitted on the face side at a distance of 136 mm from the left side of the banknote with a 3 mm shift tolerance. The protective iridiscent stripe is transparent, slightly silvery-coloured, and at a certain angle of light impact it gets gold discoloration with metal gloss. At the right edge of the protection iridicent lane, the numbers "5,000" are negative from top to bottom.
(4) The protective contour mark in the case of banknotes of model 1999 takes the form of letters "CR" placed in the white circular area in the view against light. The part of the protective assembly mark visible on the front is printed in grey-blue colour and is placed on the top left of the banknote pattern. The part of the protective assembly mark visible on the reverse is printed in blue and black and is placed on the top right of the banknote pattern.
§ 3
(1) On the face of the 1999 banknote, the images and texts are the same as in the 1993 banknote. The same printing techniques shall be used for printing them, except for one year, as with the model 1993 banknote.
(2) The issue of the banknote on the front is printed by printing from the area in grey blue, placed in the lower left part of the banknote pattern on the dark-cut ribbon and marked with "1999."
(3) The optically variable colour printed on the front of the 1999 banknote by the hexagon surface with the head of the lion, depending on the angle of impact of the light, varies from the gold to the green. The lines forming the lion's mane are horizontal.
§ 4
(1) On the reverse of the 1999 banknote, the images and texts are the same as those of the 1993 banknote. They are printed using the same printing techniques as the 1993 banknote.
(2) The reverse side of the 1999 model banknote differs from the reverse side of the 1993 model banknote only by printing on the bottom of the wide, unprinted edge of the banknote in the blue and black colour on the surface of the graphic symbol in the form of a stylized lime leaf.
§ 5
This Decree shall take effect on 1 September 1999.
