DECLARATION
Czech National Banks
of 4 May 1993
on the issue of coins of 1 CZK model 1993, on the expiry of coins of 1 CZK and their exchange
Czech National Bank pursuant to § 22 (a) and (d) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, states:
§ 1
On 9 June 1993, coins of CZK 1 model 1993 (hereinafter referred to as "the crown") are issued for circulation.
§ 2
(1) The crown is rolled of steel, which is galvanically plated with nickel on both sides and on the edge. The weight of the crown is 3.6 g, 20 mm diameter and 1.85 mm thickness. The crown edge is serrated.
(2) When the crown is embossed, a tolerance of 0,15 g, 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,13 mm in thickness is permitted. A downward tolerance of 0,5% is allowed in the nickel content during galvanic plating.
§ 3
(1) On the face of the crown is a symbol of Czech statehood Czech lion. In the copy the name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" and at the lower edge of the coin is the year of the stamping. Above the year of the stamping, a mark of the mint is placed between the back legs of the lion, which struck the crown.
(2) On the reverse of the crown, the marked coin value is "1." Under the figure is the royal crown. At the edge of the coin, the name of the cash unit is given in the unclosed copy. The word "Koruna" is at the left edge of the coin, the word "CZECH" is at the right edge of the coin. The author of the crown design is the academic sculptor Jarmila Truhlíková - Spíváková, the initials of her name "JTS" are placed under the royal crown at the bottom of the coin.
§ 4
(1) The validity of coins after 1 Kčs1) expires on 30 September 1993.
(2) The coins referred to in paragraph 1 shall be exchanged between 1 October 1993 and 31 January 1994 by the Czech National Bank and the banks.2)
§ 5
This Decree shall take effect on 1 June 1993.
