DECLARATION
of 16 May 2007
on the issue of banknotes of CZK 2 000
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
Banknotes of CZK 2 000 of the 2007 model (hereinafter referred to as "2007 model banknote") shall be released for circulation on 2 July 2007. Banknotes of model 2007 differ from banknotes of CZK 2,000 in model 19961) (hereinafter referred to as "banknote of model 1996") and from banknotes of CZK 2,000 in model 19992) (hereinafter referred to as "banknote of model 1999") by watermark, stripe, shape and colours of the iridiscent stripe, parts of the underprint, number of issue of the banknote and facsimile signature of the representative of the issue bank.
(1) The 2007 banknote has the same dimensions, including tolerance, as the 1996 banknote and the 1999 banknote. In the 45 mm wide unprinted edge of the banknote (hereinafter referred to as "coupon '), in addition to the tiered watermark with a portrait of Emma Destiny, the white watermark marked" 2000' is in the centre of the banknote, which is oriented parallel to the shorter sides of the banknote. Above it is an ornament resembling a feather ornament.
(2) The protective window strip in the 2007 banknote is 3 mm wide and its metallic colour varies from green to brown, depending on the angle of the falling light. The negative microtext "ČNB 2000 CZK" is readable from the bottom up on the protection strip.
(3) Banknote paper on the 2007 banknote is provided with a two-colour iridiscent stripe placed on the front to the right of the portrait of Emma Destiny. At a certain angle of light, the left part of the stripe obtains gold colour, the irregular right part of the stripe is silvery blue and contains a negative "2000" marking. In the middle of the iridiscent lane, the golden and silvery blue curves are alternated.
(1) The issue of the banknote on the front page is printed on the 2007 model banknote by printing with the green area. It is marked "2007 'and is located to the left of the name of the issue bank. The facsimile signature of the Governor of the Emission Bank is printed in green with the area above the word" GUVERNER "under the name of the Emission Bank.
(2) On both the front and back sides of the 2007 banknote are printed yellow rings, forming part of the underprint, which are particularly visible on the coupon.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
