Act No. 14 / 1946 Coll.

Law on the Provisional Treatment of Military Service of Women in Czechoslovak Defence Power

Valid Effective from 06.10.1944
14.
Law
of 24 January 1946
on the interim arrangements for the military service of women in Czechoslovak military power.
The Provisional National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following Act:
§ 1.
Women who voluntarily joined the Czechoslovak Armed Forces were assigned to it to carry out military service and performed this service and, after that, became members of the Czechoslovak Armed Forces on the day of their voluntary entry.
§ 2.
(1) During the period of military service in Czechoslovak military power, they are subject to military formalities and other rights under the regulations applicable to military persons in active military service.
(2) Until their release from active military service, they are subject to all Czechoslovak military service, disciplinary and disciplinary provisions, as well as military criminal jurisdiction.
§ 3.
(1) Their obligations under § § § 1 and § 2 shall end on the day of their release from active military service. The release of the Minister of National Defence shall be decided upon at their request or from the authority.
(2) After their release, they shall be entitled to a salary in accordance with the provisions applicable to military gayists in reserve.
(3) The entitlement to the measure is also the responsibility of the State-dependable survivors of those members of the Czechoslovak Armed Forces who, because of their health (body) disorder, have suffered for active military services and for reasons related to the performance of this service, have died or will die after their release, unless there is a person who is legally obliged to support and provide for the survivors, and can do so.
(4) Women released from Czechoslovak military power are entitled to use the rank acquired in active military service as honorable and to wear the prescribed military uniform under the conditions applicable to military persons outside active duty. The Minister of National Defence may, for important reasons, declare the loss of this authorisation.
§ 4.
This law is without prejudice to the rights acquired by members of the Czechoslovak armed forces abroad after their release or by their survivors pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of 15 May 1944, No 5, No 2 / 44 on the status of women in Czechoslovak military units.
§ 5.
This Act shall take effect on 6 October 1944; It shall be implemented by the Minister of National Defence in agreement with the Ministers involved.
