on the exceptional reduction of continuous rest in the week
The Government of the Slovak Socialist Republic, after consulting the Slovak Trade Union Council, hereby orders, pursuant to Paragraph 92 (3) of the Labour Code (hereinafter referred to as the Code):
If, for operational reasons, workers of organisations managed by the central authorities of the Slovak Socialist Republic and the national committees cannot provide continuous rest for a week of at least 32 hours (Section 92 (1) of the Code), the management organisation may schedule working hours in such a way that the rest period is at least 24 hours
(a) seasonal and campaign work;
(b) in transport, cultural, health, social care and continuous establishments,
on condition that the individual workers receive a continuous rest of 32 hours at least once every three weeks.
(1) For works for which working time is unevenly distributed in accordance with the directives issued by the Central Authority of the Slovak Socialist Republic (Section 85 (2) of the Code) for a period of the entire calendar year, the management organisation may schedule working time so that, in a period with a higher need for work, a continuous rest period of at least 32 hours per worker every two weeks.
(2) The continuous rest of the week may also be adjusted to the extent referred to in paragraph 1 in the case of farm animal care and plant production during the peak agricultural work period.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1977. 1)
