DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of Finance
of 24 October 1989
on the issue of the commemorative silver hundred crowns for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Karel Čapek
Federal Ministry of Finance pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on Money Reform, and pursuant to § 2 (2) of Government Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins, in an agreement with the State Bank of Czechoslovakia declares:
(1) On the 100th anniversary of the birth of the author Karel Čapek, commemorative silver hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "hundred crowns") are issued.
(2) Hunting from an alloy of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc. The weight of the stocron is 13 g. In the case of stamping, a tolerance up and down of 10 / 1000 and a silver content of 5 / 1000 is permitted. The diameter is 31 mm, the edge is serrated.
(1) On the face of the stokorona is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in the upper part and under it in three rows the name of the state "CZESKOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC." Under the name of the State, the value "100 Kčs' is in two rows.
(2) There's a portrait of Karl Čapek on the back of a hundred crowns. His name "KAREL CHAPEK" is in the copy left, the years "1890-1990" are in the copy right.
(3) The author of the hundred crown design is academic sculptor Anton Gábrik. The initials of his name "AG" are placed on the reverse on the lower right side of the portrait.
This Decree shall take effect on 15 December 1989.
