amending Decree No 309 / 2011 Coll., laying down the conditions for investigating bovine animals for bovine spongiform encephalopathy as part of the inspection of slaughter animals and meat
The Ministry of Agriculture provides pursuant to § 78 of Act No. 166 / 1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and on the amendment of certain related laws (Veterinary Act), as amended by Act No. 131 / 2003 Coll., Act No. 316 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 48 / 2006 Coll., Act No. 182 / 2008 Coll., Act No. 227 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 308 / 2011 Coll. and Act No. 359 / 2012 Coll., for implementation of § 75 paragraph 3 of the Act:
Decree No 309 / 2011 Coll., laying down the conditions for investigating bovine bovine spongiform encephalopathy as part of the inspection of slaughter animals and meat, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 2, including the title and footnotes Nos 3 and 4, reads as follows:
Conditions for investigating bovine bovine bovine spongiform encephalopathy
(1) In the context of the inspection of slaughter animals and meat, bovine spongiform encephalopathy is examined for bovine animals over 30 months of age born in States or territories not listed in the Annex to this Regulation.
(2) In the context of the inspection of animals for slaughter and meat, if animals are forced to be slaughtered outside the slaughterhouse (3), or animals for which clinical signs of the disease have been observed during the ante-mortem inspection (4), bovine spongiform encephalopathy shall be examined.
(a) bovine animals over 24 months of age born in the Czech Republic or in States not listed in the Annex to this Order or in territories not listed in the Annex to this Order; or
(b) bovine animals over 48 months of age born in a Member State of the European Union listed in the Annex to this Order or in the territory listed in the Annex to this Order, with the exception of the Czech Republic.
3) Annex III, Chapter A, Part I, point 2.1, first indent, to Regulation (EC) No 999 / 2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council. Chapter VI of Section I of Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 853 / 2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin, as amended.
4) Annex III, Chapter A, Part I, point 2.1, second indent, to Regulation (EC) No 999 / 2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council. Annex I, Section II, Chapter III, point 5 of Regulation (EC) No 854 / 2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific rules for the organisation of official controls on products of animal origin intended for human consumption, as amended. ';
2. the Annex shall read as follows:
