Slovak National Council
of 16 December 1965
on the award of honorary degrees "deserving member of the Slovak Philharmonic" and "deserving worker of the Slovak Philharmonic"
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
(1) For the award of excellent artists of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, who have earned its high level and thus made an exceptional contribution to the performance of its national and cultural mission to serve the working people, the socialist social establishment and the socialist art, an honorary title "a deserving member of the Slovak Philharmonic."
(2) The honorary title of the "deserving member of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra" is awarded to excellent artists of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, who have been active for at least 10 years and who consistently achieve such results that they become a model for other artists of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and other musical bodies.
(1) For the award of excellent operating and organizational staff of the Slovak Philharmonic, the honorary title "a deserving worker of the Slovak Philharmonic" is introduced.
(2) The honorary title of the "deserving worker of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra" is awarded to excellent operating and organisational staff of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, who have worked there for at least 10 years, consistently by becoming an example of other operating and organisational staff of the Slovak Philharmonic and other musical bodies.
(1) The honorary title of "deserving member of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra" and "deserving worker of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra" is awarded by the delegate of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture.
(2) At the same time as the award of the honorary degrees referred to in paragraph 1, the Charter (diploma) concerning the award of the honorary degree shall be surrendered.
The delegate of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture shall withdraw the honorary title of "deserving member of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra" or "deserving member of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra" if the person to whom he has been awarded has become unworthy.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
