DECLARATION

of 21 June 1999
amending Decree No. 143 / 1965 Coll., on the provision of cash benefits in sickness insurance, as amended, and Decree No. 165 / 1979 Coll., on the sickness insurance of certain workers and on the provision of sickness insurance benefits to citizens in special cases, as amended
The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs provides, pursuant to Section 51a of Act No. 54 / 1956 Coll., on the sickness insurance of employees, as amended by Act No. 37 / 1993 Coll.:
Decree No. 143 / 1965 Coll., on the provision of cash benefits in sickness insurance, as amended by Decree No. 95 / 1968 Coll., Decree No. 113 / 1975 Coll., Decree No. 165 / 1979 Coll., Decree No. 79 / 1982 Coll., Decree No. 154 / 1983 Coll., Decree No. 80 / 1984 Coll., Decree No. 134 / 1984 Coll., Decree No. 236 / 1988 Coll., Decree No. 263 / 1990 Coll., Act No. 582 / 1991 Coll., Decree No. 30 / 1993 Coll., Decree No. 313 / 1993 Coll., Decree No. 196 / 1994 Coll., Decree No. 207 / 1995 Coll., and Decree No. 282 / 1995 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 26 (1) is deleted and paragraph 2 is deleted.
2. In Article 34 (1), the words "or, where appropriate, in which he was admitted to a health care institution 'are deleted.
3. In Article 34 (2), the words "other system of sickness protection (e.g. social security for cooperative peasants, or artists, as appropriate, or" and the brackets after the word "forces" are deleted.
4. In the second sentence of Paragraph 40 (1), the words "paragraph 2 'are deleted.
5. In the first sentence of Paragraph 45, the words "the amount of the parental allowance due on a single calendar day 'are replaced by the words" one third of the amount of the parental allowance due on a calendar month'.
6. In Paragraph 51 (2), the words "in such a way that pennies up to and including 50 pennies are rounded down and pennies above 50 pennies are deleted 'are deleted.
7. In Paragraph 70, the words "a pension 'are replaced by the words" a pension'.
8. In Paragraph 72 (3), "(d) 'is replaced by" (c)';

1. in Paragraph 1, point (g) is deleted;
2. In Paragraph 46 (b), the words "and higher vocational schools (secondary schools) 'shall be inserted after the words" schools'.
3. In the first sentence of Paragraph 48 (2), the words ", study programme or study plan 'shall be inserted after the word" curriculum'.
4. In Articles 51 (3) and 98 (3), the words "the amount of the parental contribution due per calendar day 'are replaced by the words" one-thirtieth of the amount of the parental contribution due per calendar month'.
5. Section 8 of Part One is deleted.
6. Paragraph 96 (3), including footnote 24, is deleted.
7. In Paragraph 97 (2), the words "amounting to 186 CZK 'are replaced by the words" including footnote 24'. 69% of the amount representing the highest daily assessment base under the general rules on occupational sickness insurance 24)

The amount of sickness and cash aid in maternity care (cash aid) to which citizens with altered working capacity preparing for employment have been entitled before 1 October 1999 and which continues after 30 September 1999 shall be adjusted in accordance with Article II (7) of this Decree without application from 1 October 1999.
This decree shall take effect on 1 October 1999.
