on the National Prize of the Czech Socialist Republic
The Czech National Council decided on this law:
The National Prize of the Czech Socialist Republic ("the National Prize") is awarded to individuals or collective members as a token of their appreciation for outstanding merit, creative results or performances in the field of science, technology, culture and art, which have enriched human knowledge or created great cultural and artistic values or otherwise contributed significantly to the enhancement of the material and spiritual wealth of the Czech people and the nationalities of the Czech Socialist Republic.
The National Prize is awarded by the Bureau of the Czech National Council on 5 May each year on a proposal from the Government of the Czech Socialist Republic ("the Government ').
(1) The National Prize Committee for the National Prize of the Czech Socialist Republic (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) is the advisory body of the Government for assessing initiatives by institutions, organisations, institutions or individuals.
(2) The President and the members of the Committee are appointed and withdrawn by the Government.
(1) The honorary title "The winner of the National Prize of the Czech Socialist Republic" belongs to decorated individuals; they are given a document of this award and are entitled to wear a ribbon symbolizing the National Prize.
(2) The honorary title "The winner of the National Prize of the Czech Socialist Republic" belongs to the distinguished collective. they get the deed to award this prize.
(3) The award of the National Prize is accompanied by a remuneration.
The Statute of the National Prize, approved by the Government, shall provide for the organisation of the Committee, the formalities for proposals for the award of the National Prize, the manner in which they are presented and discussed, as well as details of the award of the National Prize, the level of remuneration and other details of the exercise of the approval provided for in Section 4, if the National Prize is awarded.
This Act shall take effect on 1 January 1975.
